Frequently Asked Questions
What size temporary stairs do I need?
Measure the vertical height between the two levels, then pick the stair whose height range covers it: 6 step 0.97 to 1.33m, 9 step 1.43 to 2.0m, 12 step 1.91 to 2.67m, 15 step 2.39 to 3.33m or 18 step 2.87 to 4.0m. If your height sits near the edge of a range, call us on 1800 953 996 and we will help you choose.
Do the stairs come assembled?
Yes. Each stair arrives assembled. You position it, fix the top and the base with fixings to suit what you are fixing to, then slide the two handrails into their channels and tighten the bolts.
Can I use these stairs with scaffolding?
The manufacturer designs them to work with most scaffolding systems. Check the fit with your scaffold set up and always follow the manufacturer's installation instructions.
Do they meet Australian standards?
Yes. The stairs are built to AS/NZS 1576.
Should I choose the narrow or wide stair?
The narrow stair is 0.6m wide and suits tight access points and trenches. The wide stair is 1.2m wide and gives more room on every step when your crew is carrying tools and materials.
Do you hire construction stairs?
No, we sell them outright rather than hire. If you are pricing up a longer job, call us on 1800 953 996 and we will help you work out the right stair to buy.
