Shipping Policy
At Site Gear Direct, we aim to make delivery simple, transparent and reliable. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how your order is processed, shipped and delivered.
1. Order Processing & Dispatch Times
- Orders are processed within 1–3 business days.
- Some items dispatch directly from our supplier warehouses across Australia to ensure fast delivery and accurate stock availability.
- If your order contain multiple items, they may arrive in separate deliveries.
Order Cut-Off Time
Orders placed before 12:00pm (AEST/AEDT) on a business day will begin processing the same day. Orders placed after 12:00pm, or on weekend/public holidays, will begin processing the next business day.
Processing times may vary for oversized, heavy or supplier-fulfilled items.
2. Shipping Partners
We ship using trusted national freight carriers including (but not limited to):
Toll, TNT/FedEx, Allied Express, Aramex, Northline, Couriers Please, as well as other carriers managed through Big Post Freight.
The carrier used for your order depends on item size, warehouse location and your delivery address.
3. Delivery Timeframes
Estimate delivery times:
- Metro Areas: 2-6 business days
- Regional Areas: 3-10 business days
- Remote Areas: 5-14 business days
Deliveries may take longer due to freight volumes, remote access or carrier scheduling.
4. Shipping Costs
Metro Areas
Some of our products include free shipping to metro cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Products eligible for free shipping will be clearly marked on the product page and at checkout.
Outside Metro Areas
Shipping fees apply for non-metro deliveries due to increased freight handling and distance.
Shipping fees may be:
- A flat rate shown at checkout, or
- A custom freight quote for oversized or heavy items, depending on the supplier requirements.
If a custom quote is required, this will be clearly stated on the product page and at checkout.
A team member will contact you with a final freight price before your order is dispatched.
5. Business vs Residential Delivery Requirements
Freight carriers charge different rates for business and residential addresses.
During checkout, you will be asked to select whether your delivery address is a:
- Business address, or
- Residential address
It's important that you select the correct option, as pricing varies between the two.
If the incorrect address type is selected:
The carrier charges additional fees because the wrong option was chosen, the difference will be passed onto the customer.
We will always contact you first to confirm any additional costs before dispatch.
6. Tailgate & Heavy Freight Deliveries
Some large or heavy items (scaffolding, towers, props, machinery and similar goods) may require:
- Tailgate delivery
- A forklift onsite, or
- Assistance to unload
If this applies to your order our team will contact you before delivery.
7. Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details.
If your order ships in multiple consignments, multiple tracking numbers may be provided.
8. Delivery Address Requirements
To avoid delays:
- Ensure the delivery address is accurate and accessible.
- For business addresses, please provide opening hours.
- For residential addresses, someone may need to be home to receive the goods.
9. Missed Deliveries & Re-Delivery Fees
If the courier attempts delivery and no one is available:
- A re-delivery or redirection fee may apply (charged by the carrier).
- We will notify you before any fee is processed.
10. Delivery Limitations for Oversized Items
Some larger or heavier products may not be eligible for delivery to certain locations including remote, island or locations with limited access like smaller roads due to carrier weight, size or access restrictions.
