Total Aluminium Turbo T-Lite 1.9-2.2m Wide Mobile Scaffolding Tower (Double Width)

A compact aluminium mobile scaffold tower with a 1.9m to 2.2m platform, which puts your working reach at roughly 3.6m to 4.2m. At 1.3m wide and 2.5m long it gives you a full double width deck with room for two people and their materials. The whole tower weighs 117.2kg with no single part over 22.6kg, so one person can carry it in and build it.

That covers most of the work that still needs two feet on a deck: single-storey guttering, eaves and soffits, indoor ceilings, fit-outs and maintenance. Working off a ladder means climbing, repositioning and climbing again. The Total Aluminium 1.9m to 2.2m Wide (Double Width) Mobile Scaffolding Tower gives you a proper platform at that height with room for the tools and materials, on lockable castors that adjust for uneven ground, rated to a 450kg safe working load.

No scaffolding ticket needed. A high risk work licence only applies where a person or object could fall more than 4m. This platform tops out at 2.2m, so a competent person can erect it from the instructions. Keep it clear of any drop beside the tower that would take the potential fall past 4m.

Sold as the base tower. Frames, guard rails, braces, platforms and castors are in the box. The access ladder, kickboards and stabilisers are add-ons at extra cost. The photo shows optional kickboards fitted. Total Aluminium's guidance is that AS 1576 calls for stabilisers on any mobile tower with a platform of 1.9m or more, so budget for a pair. How the reach height is worked out: reach is the platform height plus roughly 1.7m to 2m of standing reach, which is the usual allowance for an adult working comfortably overhead.
