Safer site access. Less setup. More time getting the job done.
Ditch the ladder and give your crew a proper way up to raised slab edges and down into deeper excavations. The Total Aluminium 12 Step Wide Adjustable Stair reaches from 1.91m to 2.67m, where ladder access gets slow and tiring for a busy crew.
Its self levelling treads and generous 1.2m width make every trip up and down steadier and more comfortable. Best of all, it arrives fully assembled. Position it, secure both ends, lock in the handrails and complete your safety checks. You're good to go.
Why Choose The 12 Step Wide Adjustable Stair?
-
One stair, a range of heights: Adjusts from 1.91m to 2.67m, so it keeps working as site levels change without swapping to a different staircase.
-
Self levelling treads: Every step pivots to sit level, even as the stair angle changes. No fiddling with individual treads.
-
Wide 1.2m design: More room on every step when your crew is carrying tools and materials between levels.
-
Handrails without the hassle: They slide into built in channels on both sides and lock in with bolts. No drilling or measuring needed for the rails.
-
Foldable design: Folds down for transport and storage between jobs.
-
Built to AS/NZS 1576: Sturdy aluminium construction with corrosion resistant materials, made for demanding worksites.
Where Can You Use It?
At 1.91m to 2.67m, the 12 step stair suits mid height access points on site:
- Deeper excavations, trenches and batters
- Slab edges and deck to deck access
- Raised platforms and elevated work areas
- Civil and infrastructure projects
- Commercial construction sites
- Temporary access during maintenance and shutdowns

Easy Setup, Without The Complicated Assembly
Nobody wants to spend half the morning putting temporary stairs together. Here is how it goes in:
-
Position the stair: Move it into place between stable surfaces at the top and bottom. At 90.1kg, use a minimum of two workers and lifting equipment where required. The stair has lifting points for this.
-
Level the treads: Step onto the bottom tread. Each tread pivots to sit level at the stair's pitch.
-
Secure both ends: Fix the top to the slab edge, timber bearer or steel. Then fix the base so both anchor points are tight.
-
Fit the handrails: Slide each handrail into its channel and tighten the bolts.
-
Complete your safety checks: Inspect the stair, the fixings, every tread and both handrails before anyone uses it.
Always follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and use an appropriate lifting and handling method.
Need A Different Size?
Every site is different. These adjustable stairs come in 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 step sizes, in narrow (0.6m) and wide (1.2m). Need the same height in a tighter space? The 12 step narrow stair covers 1.91m to 2.67m at 0.6m wide. For a lower lift, the 9 step wide stair covers 1.43m to 2.0m. For a higher lift, the 15 step wide stair covers 2.39m to 3.33m.
